2011 VENDOR & LIVING HISTORY EXHIBITOR APPLICATION AND INFORMATION
DATES: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1st AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2011
TIME: 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 6:00 P.M. SATURDAY 10:00 A.M UNTIL 5:00 P.M. SUNDAY.
PLACE: MT. HOOD VILLAGE, 65000 E. U.S. HIGHWAY 26 IN THE VILLAGE OF
WILDWOOD, OREGON, 2 MILES WEST OF WELCHES.
PURPOSE OF THE FESTIVAL: THE THEME IS SALMON AND MUSHROOMS, AS WELL AS OTHER
NATURAL BOUNTIES. THIS IS AN EDUCATIONAL FESTIVAL WHICH STRIVES TO TEACH PEOPLE
TO PRESERVE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES AND USE THEM INTELLIGENTLY.
IT IS A CELEBRATION OF OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT.
TYPE OF MERCHANDISE WANTED: THINK "SALMON" AND "MUSHROOMS", BUT OTHER
NATURAL ITEMS ARE WELCOME.
NOTE: WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISMISS ANY VENDOR FROM THE FESTIVAL WHO
DISPLAYS MERCHANDISE NOT APPROVED ON THEIR APPLICATION FORM - BE VERY SPECIFIC
ON YOUR APPLICATION, WHETHER YOU ARE A NEW OR VETERAN VENDOR.

SET-UP: FRIDAY, September 29th FROM 4:00-6:00 P.M., OR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1 FROM
9-10 A.M. {No personnel from Mt. Hood Village or Cascade Geographic Society will
be available at hours other than these to assist you.}
DAILY CLOSE-UP/TEAR-DOWN: 6:00 P.M. ON SATURDAY, 5:00 P.M. ON SUNDAY.
VENDORS WHO CLOSE EARLIER DO A DISSERVICE TO ALL OTHER VENDORS, AND MAY BE
REMOVED FROM OUR FESTIVAL LISTS FOR THE FUTURE.
FEE: $32 TOTAL FOR THE TW0 DAYS. SPECIFIC RESERVED SITES ($15 EXTRA)
*NOTE: LIVING HISTORY EXHIBITOR'S FEE IS WAIVED FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY.
RESERVATIONS. RETURN THE ATTACHED FORM WITH YOUR FEE TO RESERVE A 10'
BY 10' SPACE. MAKE PAYMENT OUT TO CASCADE GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY BY CHECK OR
MONEY ORDER.
. NOTE: PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITH APPLICATION.
FACILITIES: THE COURTYARD WILL BE COVERED, SO YOU WILL NOT NEED A
SHELTER, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY USE ONE IF YOU CHOOSE. ALSO, THERE WIIL BE LIMITED
INDOOR SPACE AVAILABLE IN THE EVERGREEN ROOM.
ELECTRICITY AND WATER: IF YOU NEED ELECTRICITY AND/OR WATER (WHICH 1S
LIMITED), PLEASE NOTE YOUR REQUEST ON YOUR APPLICATION. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR
OWN CORD (MINIMUM 100'), POWER STRIP, ETC.
TABLES AND CHAIRS:: YOU NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN TABLES AND CHAIRS.
CAMPING OPTIONS AVAILABLE AT MT. HOOD VILLAGE FOR APPROVED VENDORS: FULL
HOOKUP FOR RV ~ $15 FIRST NIGHT, $7.50 SECOND NIGHT. TO PARK RV/NO HOOKUP ~
$5 EACH NIGHT. TENT CAMPING ~ $5 EACH NIGHT. TO (DRY CAMP) IN VEHICLE/NO
AMENITIES: $5.
THESE DISCOUNTS ARE FOR APPROVED VENDORS ONLY, AND ARE
AVAILABLE FROM THE DAY PRIOR TO THE FESTIVAL AND THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT.
ALL VENDOR VEHICLES WILL RECEIVE A PARKING PASS FOR IDENTIFICATION. CALL
MT. HOOD VILLAGE AT 503-622-4011 FOR CAMPING RESERVATIONS ONCE YOUR
APPLICATION IS APPROVED - YOU MUST BE ON THEIR LIST TO RECEIVE THE
DISCOUNTED RATES.~
SECURITY: YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN SECURITY FOR YOUR BOOTH/SALE ITEMS.
THERE WILL NOT BE ROOM FOR CAMPERS AND VEHICLES IN THE DISPLAY AREA OTHER
THAN FOR INITIAL SET-UP AND FINAL TEAR-DOWN. MT. HOOD VILLAGE DOES LOCK UP THE
INDOOR AREAS AT NIGHT.
LIABILITY WAIVER: ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER PRIOR
TO SET-UP AT THE FESTIVAL. THIS IS BELOW YOUR APPLICATION FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.
REFUNDS. NONE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Miscellaneous information:
The "Evergreen Room" (indoor vending space) is walled
with windows. No vendor will be allowed to set up in such a way as to block the
windows font>
(i.e. with wall hangings or such)or other vendors. In addition, if you request the Evergreen Room, be prepared to provide extra light (such as clip-on
lamps with extension cords) if you are positioned in a corner space away from
the windows. Also, for this festival, the stage/musicians are located
in a corner section of the Evergreen Room. If you do not wish to be near
the live music, please request an outdoor space.
Please do not request us to hold a particular space for
you in the Evergreen Room unless you pay the additional $15 fee.
Cascade Geographic Society is a non-profit educational
corporation that works in cooperation with Mt. Hood Village on the Mt. Hood
Huckleberry
Festival and the Salmon and Mushroom Festival; Cascade
Geographic Society is staffed year-round entirely by unpaid volunteers who are
primarily professional people who donate hundreds of hours of their free time
for many educational projects. We look for vendors for our Festivals who are
cooperative, fun to work with, and help to make these events educational and
enjoyable!
