DATES: FRIDAY, AUGUST 28; SATURDAY, AUGUST 29; SUNDAY, AUGUST 30.

TIME: 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 6:00 P.M. FRIDAY; 10:00 A.M UNTIL 6:00 P.M. SATURDAY; 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 5:00 P.M. ON SUNDAY.

PLACE: MT. HOOD VILLAGE, 65000 E. U.S. HIGHWAY 26 IN THE VILLAGE OF WILDWOOD, OREGON, 2 MILES WEST OF WELCHES.

PURPOSE OF THE FESTIVAL: THE THEME IS HUCKLEBERRIES AND OTHER WILD BERRIES, THE OREGON TRAIL, NATIVE AMERICAN AND PIONEER HISTORY, THE PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER RESOURCES OF THE PEOPLE. THIS IS A CELEBRATION OF OUR NATURAL RESOURCES, OUR HISTORY, AND OTHER PUBLIC TREASURES.

TYPE OF MERCHANDISE WANTED: QUALITY, HAND-CREATED CRAFTS ARE DESIRED, SUCH AS JEWELRY, ARTWORK, NATURAL FURNITURE/TOYS, CRAFTS UTILIZING NATURAL MATERIALS, ETC., INCLUDING QUALITY ANTIQUES AND COLLECTABLES.

NOTE: WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISMISS ANY VENDOR FROM THE FESTIVAL WHO DISPLAYS MERCHANDISE NOT APPROVED ON THEIR APPLICATION FORM - BE VERY SPECIFIC ON YOUR APPLICATION, WHETHER YOU ARE A NEW OR VETERAN VENDOR.

LATE ARRIVALS ON THURSDAY WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING FOR SITE CHOICE AND SET-UP. MT. HOOD VILLAGE PERSONNEL ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING FESTIVAL VENDORS, AND CASCADE GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY PERSONNEL ARE ONLY ON SITE DURING THE HOURS LISTED ABOVE.}

CRAFT VENDORS ~ $50 TOTAL FOR THE THREE DAYS. COMMERCIAL VENDORS ~ $100 TOTAL FOR THE THREE DAYS. SPECIFIC RESERVED SITES ~ ($20 EXTRA) . SPECIFIC RESERVED SITES ($20 EXTRA)

RESERVATIONS. SPACE IS LIMITED, S0 BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY. RETURN THE ATTACHED FORM WITH YOUR FEE TO RESERVE A 10' BY 10' SPACE. MAKE PAYMENT OUT TO CASCADE GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY BY CHECK, MONEY ORDER, OR CASH. NOTE:

PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITH APPLICATION.

FACILITIES: THE COURTYARD IS COVERED, SO YOU WILL NOT NEED A SHELTER, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY USE ONE IF YOU CHOOSE. ALSO, THERE WILL BE LIMITED INDOOR SPACE AVAILABLE IN THE EVERGREEN ROOM.

ELECTRICITY AND WATER: IF YOU NEED ELECTRICITY AND/OR WATER (WHICH 1S LIMITED), BE SURE TO NOTE YOUR REQUEST ON YOUR APPLICATION. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN CORD (MINIMUM 100'), POWER STRIP, ETC.

TABLES AND CHAIRS: YOU NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN TABLES AND CHAIRS.

CAMPING OPTIONS AVAILABLE AT MT. HOOD VILLAGE FOR APPROVED VENDORS: FULL HOOKUP FOR RV ~ $15 FIRST NIGHT, $7.50 SECOND/THIRD NIGHT. TO PARK RV/NO HOOKUP ~ $5 EACH NIGHT. TENT CAMPING ~ $5 EACH NIGHT. TO ŒDRY CAMPı IN VEHICLE/NO AMENITIES: $5.00. THESE DISCOUNTS ARE FOR APPROVED VENDORS ONLY, AND ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE DAY PRIOR TO THE FESTIVAL AND THROUGH SUNDAY

NIGHT. ALL VENDOR VEHICLES WILL RECEIVE A PARKING PASS FOR

IDENTIFICATION.

SECURITY: YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN SECURITY FOR YOUR BOOTH/SALE ITEMS.

THERE WILL NOT BE ROOM FOR CAMPERS AND VEHICLES IN THE DISPLAY AREA OTHER THAN FOR INITIAL SET-UP AND FINAL TEAR-DOWN. MT. HOOD VILLAGE DOES LOCK UP THE INDOOR AREAS AT NIGHT.

APPLICATION FORM: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION PRIOR TO THE FESTIVAL, WHICH MEANS THIS FORM MUST BE IN THE HANDS OF THE CASCADE GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY PRIOR TO ANY PARTICIPANT'S ARRIVAL AT THE FESTIVAL SITE.

LIABILITY WAIVER: ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A WAIVER PRIOR TO SET-UP AT THE FESTIVAL. THIS IS ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF YOUR APPLICATION FORM.

Miscellaneous information:

The "Evergreen Room" (indoor vending space) is walled with windows. No vendor will be allowed to set up in such a way as to block the windows (i.e.

with wall hangings or such). In addition, if you request the Evergreen Room, be prepared to provide extra light (such as clip-on lamps with extension cords) if you are positioned in a corner space away from the windows. The Evergreen Room will be locked at night, and unlocked for vendor set-up at 7:45 a.m.

Please do not request us to hold a particular space for you unless you pay the additional $20 fee.

Cascade Geographic Society is a non-profit educational corporation that works in cooperation with Mt. Hood Village on the Mt. Hood Huckleberry

Festival and the Salmon and Mushroom Festival; Cascade Geographic Society

is staffed year-round entirely by unpaid volunteers who are primarily professional people who donate hundreds of hours of their free time for many educational projects. We look for vendors for our Festivals who are cooperative, fun to work with, and help to make these events educational and enjoyable!

Huckleberry Festival Vendor's Liability Waiver

 

 

I (we) understand that my (our) participation in the "Mount Hood Huckleberry Festival and Barlow Trail Days", August 28, 29, 30, 2009, is voluntary. As a vendor at the "Festival", I (we) agree to hold harmless Cascade Geographic Society, Inc., their Board of Directors, Officers, staff, and volunteers, and Mt. Hood Village, (a.k.a. Wonderland Preserve, Inc.), their Board of Directors, Officers, staff, and volunteers, from any physical or emotional injuries or property theft which I (we) may incur or be subject to upon the property of Mt. Hood Village. Cascade Geographic Society and Mt. Hood Village will make reasonable efforts to secure the Evergreen Room and to provide a safe environment for vendors; I (we) agree to provide my (our) own security to the best of my (our) ability, and to be solely responsible for my (our) physical and emotional safety and the security of my (our) products.

As a participant/vendor in the ³Mount Hood Huckleberry Festival & Barlow Trail Days², I agree to follow all of the rules of this ³Festival² and those of Mt. Hood Village, and agree to take directions from and cooperate fully with the staff of Mt. Hood Village and Cascade Geographic Society personnel.

IT IS A CELEBRATION OF OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT.

TYPE OF MERCHANDISE WANTED: THINK "SALMON" AND "MUSHROOMS", BUT OTHER NATURAL ITEMS ARE WELCOME.

NOTE: WE WILL NOT ALLOW CARNIVAL TRINKETS, FLEA-MARKET MERCHANDISE, NOR ARE WE LOOKING FOR OVER-PRICED ITEMS THAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO SELL TO THIS AUDIENCE, WHICH INCLUDES FAMILIES FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE.
